The Green Phantom of Big Al's

Well I went to big al's today to pick up the piece of driftwood I have been eying for sometime now.

So I thought I would take a look at the fish since it wouldnt hurt, since I didnt have plans to pickup another friend. They had this guy in with a bunch of golden nuggets and no name\price tag for him.

I went and got a price check on the driftwood, I thought it would be like $100+ because I thought it felt like 30lbs but I guess being laid up for the last 4 weeks I have lost some muscle because it was actually 17lbs.

So I went to go get the pleco, asked for a price. They called him a bulldog pleco which I knew it wasn't, and said they would give it to me as the same price as the gold nuggets.

So here is what I am 99.9% sure is a Green Phantom that I got for 37.99

I felt like telling them buttttt.... I asked one of the workers about it then he went to get the fish manager then he deemed it to be a bulldog so I just went with it.

i love it when that happens and you are laughing your a** off while the guy is bagging the fish, and he's wondering what is so dang funny.

that is against the law and therefore wrong, I think you should return it, say you are sorry and pay what a green phantom costs.. this is why fish is so expensive for the rest of us you criminal..




























uhm.. no? congrats on the find, damn nice plec and good man for keeping your eyes open =) hope he will thrive and become a monster plec in no time! you think people who deals with fish should know what they sell.. next time they'll sell someone a silver dollar that turns out to be a rhom and bye bye pretty tetras and sword tails..

Actually since he was the only one in there and there was no label, I would say that the supplier might have made the mistake of sending him with the Gold Nuggets.
