I've purchased a small Mogurnda Adspersa and just wish to relate how effective a predator she is. In my 55, a population of guppies is being maintained. She eats most of the fry and doesn't usually eat the adults. She will, however, pick off the females who get sickly. There is a genetic defect in my females where, at about eight months to a year of age, they begin to lose their slime coat and stop reproducing. They swim slowly and begin to wither. Once they reach this stage, she eats them. It's a pretty good deal for everyone involved, really. Not to mention how ridiculously pretty she is. Looks like somebody crossed a killifish with a snakehead.
