The handicapped

My deformed CB Endli. It seemed perfect when I got it but it grew up bit bent body. That's why I won't be getting CB bichirs anymore unless F1 or something like that. 1st picture was 6/29/12 and 2nd picture was 8/16/12.

8/16/12 @ 7"-7.5" Albino Sen is about the same size.

Pattern is good... But that shape is a eye sore... If it didn't have that shape before how this is possible... I mean the physical shape should stay intact yea? Even though it is CB...

I've grown out 20 CB Endlis from 2" at once. A few them grew out to be bent body or bent tail. They looked perfectly normal when smaller.

but that just seems odd!
You would think it would always be that way from young to old not a slow progression

Yeah. But I've only seen this happen for CB. Not WC. You know my tank is bare with just sand. Don't think they got stuck and bent their body or anything. It's just in their genes. I believe mass bred Bichirs are more susceptible to this.

So true. Have had this happen to me with a couple of endli growouts. Look perfectly normal when small, then BAM!!

It's just weird, happens out of the blue. It sucks espcially when I picked one with a headshape that I like. Oh wells, it kind of looks SB now though.
