Gourami in dad's tank. I haven't looked at his tank in awhile, and I knew the thing had a tumor on one side, but everyone I talked to said it was benign. Now I get a look in and want to vomit at the sight of it. Notice the weird half coloration that stops at the tumor as well. She's starting to sit on the ground more. What can I do, if anything?

If it is indeed a tumor, there really isn’t much you can do. Have you treated for any bacterial infections yet? Might be worth a shot to try kanaplex or similar.

I've considered the possibility it was an ulcer, but wouldn't it be more red/have opened faster? this just looks like either it has some secondary infection, the other fish in there have been picking at it, or both.
