I hooked a arapaima gigas in the back while fishing for peacock bass in brazil. I was fishing a rooster tail when all of a sudden the my rod bended I set the hook and dragged the small 12+ arapaima to shore.
I caught my biggest fish, a 20 inch channel catfish while fishing with floating rapala!!!
I hooked a large (1 and a half pound bass) fish with a countdwown rapala. It took my line under the boat to a submerged log where it proceeded to wrap itself around it. Nothing i could do would loose th fish so i waited with the line loose it began pulling my rod again and i was able to land the fish.
I was fishing with a friend and he was using a very large (5 inch plus) rapala countdown. He casted to some rocks and got a bite i saw his rod bend slightly and he reeled in a tiny bluegill, about half the size of the lure!!!
Thats all i can thank of at the momment.
