Finally after a couple years of searching I found one at a local reptile show, built him a temporary 90gal (4'x18")

Pretty cool species, they can hit 30mph, 3' long and their frill can Max at 1'

My reptile addiction grows!

Crushed walnut sub isn't ideal but since he's not a juvy it will do until my repti carpet comes in the mail. Very cool animal and for anyone who's looking for a Rad Rep this is your guy

nope nope nope nope, no repti carpet! I have seen it take off toes, and it is a bacteria breeding ground. get plain old dirt. they can dig in it, its natural, and it helps decompose their feces. But nice frillie F1

I've always liked frilled dragons. Very nice animals indeed. I do agree with the reptile carpet, I hate that stuff, no good for animals.

I have also seen reptile carpet get caught on teeth while the animals were going after prey. I don't want the stuff anywhere near my reptiles, let alone in their cages.

Yea I've researched a lot of options and I planned on putting a thin layer of bark over it for humidity sake, the bottom baseboard is coated in rubber epoxy so it is sealed anyways. Thanks for the advice tho!

He will dig down to the repti carpet in seconds, and urine will leak down and soil it. Why not soil? impaction is no issie to an animal this large and healthy, it will allow him to dig if he wants to, and its bio active, breaking down feces for you. So its good for him, and keeps maintenance down. Win-Win.

Damn, dope lizard... Seen them for sale once before here, but sadly no space for herps anymore...
