Everywhere
In one of its native countries, Malaysia the Giant Snakehead a.k.a Channa Micropeltes is called the Toman Harimau, Toman means Snakehead and Harimau means Tiger due to the stripes that develop upon itself as it grows to adulthood. The name Tiger Snakehead is far greater than the name Redline Snakehead, because it matches.

THE TIGER SNAKEHEAD

These are pictures that qualify for the category of true Monsters from a few years of my Snakehead Picture Collection. Some, I have taken myself. Nothing so much, just thought I would share.:) It is interesting to realize how they all look different. Beautiful.:headbang2

never appreciated c. micropeltus like I do after seeing these pictures. But I've seen some very large micropeltus, but didn't have such distinct markings or are the malaysian strain more colorful when large? Which pictures did you take yourself? thanks for the post!
