ok here are a few pics i took at the lfs owners house today

this tank is 7.5x2x1.5

this the first asian i have seen with drop eye this thing is nearly 2'

the silver below is 30"+

there is a red tail catfish too

and a huge FH

and there are 3 huge F/s gars too they were 16"+

a few full tank shots of the 7.5' tank

then this was the first stingray i ever saw here in mysore
it is 4" ish (disc radius) ws kept along with a 9" silver i recently sold to him

this guy is for sale, but unfortunately at the moment i have no space and no time for a demanding creature such as a ray

can you id this ray for me pls???

a red asian aro (5") had almost picked this fellow up nearly a month ago, nut then i thought if i ever picked up an expensive arowana it is going to be a XB RTG or a HBRTG or a chilli red till then i will wait

this red aro lives in a 6'x1.5'x1.5' tank all by it self

and there were a few rats too, these were also bought today by the lfs owner

the glass was darn dirty and i took so many shots before i could even sparsely see the fish in the pic

just giving MFKers an idea as to how the pet fish market is here where i live
there are better fish shops in india, but just not in my city


yup i did tell him his tanks are cramping the fish and they need more room and there have to be more filtration just than the 2 sponge filters he uses

but hey he has been keeping that huge silver aro fos 7 years and the green for 4 years

yeah it looks wierd
but when he built that tank there was no one here who had thought of braces for a tank to hold more gallons

and that tank has been working for more than 9 years

It's like a miniature zoo

yeah he is more of an enthusiast than a trader, but alas he relies on the old school fish keeping, the keep it simple and overstocked rule and doesn't believe in QT

that silver worries me...

worries me a lot too
that silver has had fungus on its good eye for nearly 5-6 months
and he still hasn't done anything about it

he does 80% water changes every three days thats all

i live in mysore, just close to the banks of kaveri(cauvery) river where the the channa micropeltes lives

Mysore is beautiful! I especially love Mysore palace.
Always wanted to go to India, get a sitar also lol I wouldn't even try tuning that thing.
