Quarantine Tank
Seems like people have that one survivor feeder that lives on against all odds. :)

Currently I have one goldfish that continues to allude my widebar, thou its only a matter of time. I will admit that Im kinda getting attached to the little goldfish and MIGHT just save him and place him in my pond!:D

Share you story here! Post a pic if you have one...

i have a gold fish from a fair i got to feed my rtc and the gold fish got to big for him to eat the rtc was only 8in but i got rid of my rtc and now my gold fish is about 8 in and 3in high and very fat i have him in a 55g im seeing how big i can get him

When I first got my rbp's they were the size of a quarter and I through a rosie in to see what they would do. Well, they had no idea what to do with it so it just lived with them for a couple of monthes. It ate bloodworms just like they did and got very fat. I'm pretty sure it thought it was a P too because it would chase the P's around the tank nipping at their tails. But, alas, one day I looked in the tank, and it was gone. Guess the P's figured out what to do. :)

HAHA! Sooo True. A month or more ago, las time i got feeders, Only 1 survived the massacre brought on by my ARTC. I Decided to save the poor little goldfish, I put it in my mothers livebearer tank. So it was in the tank for a month or so, And I realized i hadn't fed the ARTCin a day or 2 so I decided to pull the goldfish back out and see if he could last in the monster tank. needless to say, the goldfish became a feeder within a few hours. I'm sure the wickioides enjoyed the treat

I have a white cloud tetra that has been in my 150 for 3 weeks now, despite the best predation efforts by 3 bichirs and an african knife fish. His little buddies went down fast, but he's smart, sleeping near the surface and avoiding the dark places where the bichirs and knife hide. He's actually grown a little. My girl wants to pull him out and put him in her community tank, but he's too dang fast to catch.

I used to have 3 goldfish feeders that survived for months in the bichir tank. I was kinda annoyed at first since all they did was eat and poop all over the place but kinda got attached to them afterwards. Two eventually got killed after one of the bichirs decided to try to eat them but one is still alive and well. It's probably the most active fish in the bichir tank.

not to derail my own thread but this is why i think bichirs are so overrated!

I had a goldfish that survived a largemouth bass feeding. My bass ate it and then spit it out and the fins were all screwed up and he was missing scales. Now he lives in my goldfish tank and he is the prettiest one in the tank. Where his fin was missing now grew back and turned black. Once I get my 125 running the tank that my bass is in 55 will be the new goldfish tank as well as birchir and clown knife tank. It is only a matter of time before he gets eaten.

A close friend of mine kept a couple piranhas and so he would go every week to get feeders. Of course every day tossing one or two in.. well he had one survive and it got to the point where it was surviving in there and turned mean and would chase other goldfish that got thrown in out and attack them.. he I think eventually got eaten but it was fun for a little to see a goldfish take on anger..

And then I know a guy on another forum who had one survive in one of his tanks and it had a little mustache on it like it was the reincarnation of hitler.. think that one eventually got ate too though.. lol

I once bought around 30 ghost shrimp and dumped them in my cichlid tank. The cichlids went crazy, and chaos ensued. Within 7 minutes, I could no longer find any shrimp. A couple of days later, i am checking out my tank, and I see one of the larger shrimp hiding in a crevice in my decoration. I shooed him out so he could be eaten, but after skillfully evading my oscar, he hid himself in another crevice. I kept an eye out for him over the next month or so. He would hide during the day, and cautiously scavenge for food at night. He also defended himself bravely, once latching on to my oscars face to keep from being eaten. After 2 months, I decided he had earned his right to live. I put him in my 30g community tank, where he lived happily for almost two years.
