sounds good, I've been trying to drop that hobby because of the price and the market (my job and finances are involved in investment). So i could use the money for other things. But i'm sure damn bored and sad not been able to shoot my fish or anything when i go places, considering buying another setup from BHphoto. The list is-

50D body
70-200 F4 IS L
10-22 EF -(want to try Tamron 10-24 but i don't know if they will be produced for canon.
580 Flash
Tokina 100mm Macro
24-85 3.5-4.5
300mm 2.8 IS USM
400mm 5.6 USM L

My finger is iching to place the order but i haven't yet.

I'm thinking about either the 70-200 F4 IS L or Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 II EX DG APO next but won't happen for while.

defo go canon if you sway that way, the F4 IS is SO sharp, and for the most part i'm not huge on buying lenses from third party companies.

i'm taking the F4 IS instead of the 2.8 IS for weight.

If you have to go 3rd party lenses Tamron is the way to go. I have been very impressed with their lenses.

I feel they are made much cheaper than Sigma which is cheap, and both being much cheaper (in general lesser quality) than Tokina's lenses, which i have found to be excellent (for the most part).

the tamrons feel very light and less componet filled, the quality of there lenses varies a bit, but there all in a certain range.

If you hold and shoot with a 24-70 sigma and than shoot a 24 or 28-70 nikkor you'd see what i mean. the nikkors are heavier pro type lenses the weight aswell as basic photo elements, contrast, sharpness, color, bokeh, etc is there. with most third parties it feels and looks off.
