Neetropolus Nematopus anybody thats had these fish will know what im about to say is true! I have a male and a female and they are not a pair infact they dont like each other at all. They are housed with 2 arrowana close to 20 inches apiece now and an a male Xilo and 2 San Jaun Pablo Bumble bee oscars all of which are in the 6 to 10 inch range and I have kept cichlids for years but these fish take the cake the Neets by far the 2 smallest fish in the tank RUN IT with an aggreshion level that I have never seen in any cichlid African or Central American these fish are angry and looking for a fight 24/7! I wake up to splashing in my tank every night as these guys take on fish 2 and 3 times there size with a relentless rage and desire to inflict pain on everyone in the tank! The arrowanas could eat them with ease but are attacked mercilessly if they come anywhere near the bottom I would tell anyone that keeps cichlids to stay away from these fish as they are overwhelming to keep and simply just too angry I understand what Jeff Rapps meant when he told me they were pound for pound one of the most aggresive cichlids he has kept or sold do not be fooled by there size these guys are INSANE!!!!!

Hi!!!! IM getting 2 Neet's from Jeff. Do you still have your's? What are they like when you do water change's?

Never had neeys but i always found the stories of their aggression interesting. Would love to see pics or a vid

My 6" male Neet "Mr. Evil" shares and has shared and has held his own with much bigger Red Devils Festae Dovii and Istlanum... all highly aggressive in their own right.

Apparently 7" males have been know.... here's a pic of a monster Neet owned by Jeff Rapps...

That is the biggest neet i've seen or heard about.

A guy I use to work with had a pair that had no problems handling a pyschotic male trimac. Also what's funny is that they're vegetarian's.
