The most amazing oddball parrot

browsing in an LFS on my way home and I've seen all kinds of juvie BP's from ones that are turning light yellow to ones with nice orange highlights. even some that are fully faded.
Most however are brown murky fish with an olive face and black bands, typical baby cichlid colors.

Today I found the most amazing oddball parrot and I had to buy it.

it is completely black, fins, body, everything. no just dark, but actually solid black.
I'm thinking either it will fade into a different shade in the orange-red-yellow spectrum, or maybe even possibly remain mostly black. either way I had to buy it or I will just always wondered what it might turn into.
heres to hoping! I May possibly update this thread with progression if people are curious.

It's either going to be a beautiful fish or the ugliest thing out there. Either way enjoy it I buy fish to see how they turn out. Bought a bonsai that was beat up and now found out he's a super red dragon and his red are coming in and has blood shot eyes lol

Cool, I'd be interested in seeing how he turns out; I bet inside of a month you start seeing bits of yellow emerge lol

They get really dark like that right before fading. I bet it will be the same orange as the other BP in the first pic.

well considering how the other BP is a grade A import from asia that I paid more than 10 bucks for I would love for it to turn out the same color

Thanks guys I appreciate the support, I have the room and I wanted to grow it out and see what I get. It is entirely possible he could have more black than normal, like a piebald coloration. he could simply never fade and be an oddball, or he could fade to a different color than a regular BP. I've seen anything from orange, to yellow or fiery red. so its fun waiting to see either way

I'll update some pictures when he settles in, right now hes trying to blend in

Wow it has a proper smashed face and everything. I would have bought it too. I'm betting it goes a nice lemon yellow colour.
