Greetings :)

in my 180G with a 14" Arowana, i have 3 Ornates [14",12",9"], 1 endii [9"], 1 senegal [8"] and i had an Albino senegal who was 6" and of course a long rope fish

this has been the fixed mix of fishes for more than 6 months now but suddenly i come home to find my albino missing!

my arowana never really bothered with him even though he always used to swim actively at the top...

could the bigger ornate have gulped him up?

does the 14" looks bloated?

his tummy is bloated but just cant seem to bring my head around to the fact that the bloat = 6" of senegal :)

Yes I would suspect one of the bigger ornates... If you have a HOB filter, check in there, and check around the tank to be sure, but I'm pretty sure your bigger polys got hungry.

damn! was away for a week in Bali so i guess they did get hungry but i never know they gulp down other bichirs!

My guess is he was either lunch for one of the bigger guys or he may have escaped bichirs are known to do that. Is there any place around the tank the he could be under?

no automatic feeders and no fish sitters :(

did dump 100 mollies/platies before i left...guess that was not enough :)

and dont think he could have escaped but i guess i'll never know

ornate/endli are notoriously for eat other smaller fish or even same size fish ... which would ended both died :(
