The New Guy! Red Geophagus Jurupari?

Stopped in my LFS today and noticed this little guy digging in the rocks at the bottom of a tank with several Arrows in it. I have never seen one with this coloration so I had to have it. Whats even better is I got it for free! I guess cause I'm a good customer and always bring them my Green Severum babies.

So here are the pics. What exactly do I have here?

I've never even seen one of these in my area until today. How can I tell the difference between male and female if I do find some?
