I wouldnt set the pond flush into the ground if I were you. I can see some higher ground around it and lots of ground bark and dirt everywhere so it will be a continual clean up if there is any walkby traffic or wind. Plus the pond will probably overflow during during the next rain since I dont see a drain yet. Is there going to be filtration? I dont see a pipe laid or a channel dug out for power. Does it get direct sunlight? You probably will have an algae problem and may need a UV. Also have you used a spirit level and some sand to even the base? Water is the true leveller and you may not like the lopsided pond look.
If you set the pond a little higher, you can avoid these problems and reduce fish predation from cats/birds since they cant sit on the lip as easily to wait. Hide the pond with a raised border or shrubs. I would recommend some flat slate or rocks on the bottom arranged so fish can swim under. Both for safety and to get away from sun/heat.
I like the pond though, very tough and waterproof.
