i kind of figured that. arent oscars the same as far as water temps?

I seen oscars in central Florida, they must be a little more cold tolerant.

You ever get a new dovi?

OP, why are you trying to end this discussion? Give everyone a chance to weigh in and voice their opinion, you may find out exactly what it is, debate is what this forum is for!

I'm not trying to end the discussion anymore. :) I originally just thought that the discussion was over after getting a fair amount of responses saying that it was not wc. I just figured that was the end of the discussion. (That was a couple of days ago.) Now, I'm wanting to see what 4wheelin comes up with. If I got a bayouhorn that was caught in El Paso and 4Wheelin caught one very similar to it in Kerrville, which seems to be miles away from El Paso, we might be on to something. It may not really be a bayouhorn afterall unless somehow a JD and Texas bred in El Paso and another set of JD and Texas crossed in Kerrville. Or the offspring of these crosses migrated. Who knows? As for now,.

I wasn't aware that Texas weather allowed any cichlds other than native Cyano's to live and poplulate our lakes and rivers. To hear that it's warm enough year round to support numerous other cichlid species is very interesting to me.

ok so iv finally got my camera charged and managed to get my little one to sit still for a few shots and as you can see no pearls on head and only has a few small one right below his eye
