If I am not mistaken, it's also known as the Long / Snake Necked Turtle. I saw it at one of the nearest LFS today and they are about 3-4 inches long looking awesome. I should have taken pictures, I will the next time I go. This species reminds me of the Brachiosaurus due to its long neck. I read it's a newly introduced species in the trade, if any of you are lucky enough to have one, post their pictures please. Haven't been successful at finding pictures of babies, below are what I could find.

Snakeneck turtles are very common in the trade - Kingsnake.com has them frequently, definitely not new to the trade.

I can catch these guy in any local river near my house. Cool turtles. I'm just so used to seeing them.

I live in Perth, western Aus by the way.

yea i dont think they are too uncommon.......i have seen pretty big ones around here at a few shops.....

They are awesome turtles! Pretty mellow for the most part! Very kewl how they have their neck elongated so they can stretch it out to get a breath without moving. Awesome dude! How many do you have ?
