Since my large breeding female Paraneetroplus hartwegi passed on, the male has taken up with a female P. sp. Coatzacoalcos. They have been consistently breeding about once every two or three weeks. I have not saved any young since I'm not into hybrids. About two weeks ago, I returned the male 'sp. Coatzacoalcos' to this tank, thinking that the former couple might reunite. That has not been the case. She doesn't even give him a second glance. Here's a few pictures of the 'odd couple' with their latest spawn of newly free swimming fry. Also, the last picture is of a next generation P. hartwegi pair, offspring from a spawn 8 months ago.
