Sometimes fish do the oddest things. This one has me a little dumbfounded. these 2 fish are inseparable. They are together all the time and chase all the other fish out of their area. It's really odd to me because there are several Gold and Green Sevs in the tank, but the Red Sev refuses to hang out with them. Do you think it is possible for these two to breed?

And I'm still not sure what kind of fish this is.

Yes, they can breed. The vieja is like a bifa or something. I am the worst at id'ing viejas.

No they can't breed, South American Cichlids cannot hybridise with Central American.

Also Severums cannot breed with anythign out of the Heros genus.

They will lay eggs, but nothing will come of them, if they do, it will be a worlds first and make no sense genetically, they are more distantly related than Humans are to Gorillas.
