Well, I finally felt comfortable enough with my Odoes to put them in my 180 with my Silver Aro. Now the Odoes are 5-6" and my Silver is pushing 16". Couple unexpected occurrences:
1. My Silver took their introduction to the tank as his cue to claim his dominance. It's actually nice because he usually swims around in the far end of the tank, away from me. Now he patrols the entire length of the tank.
2. There was a look (if fish can have looks) of pure fear on both the Odoes when my Silver swam towards them. Right now, it appears the my Silver is enjoying some very slow-speed pursuits of the Odoes across the tank. Now despite his stature, my Silver is a pretty big wuss. There are 2 Bala sharks in the tank that are smaller than the Odoes, and he's never made a move to eat them.
I'm hoping that this will be a healthy relationship for all the fish involved, but time will tell. Anyone else have experience with their Odoes and larger fish? I know the pikes are supposed to be notorious bullies, which is why I'm hoping they learn their place now to avoid any future conflict.
