Well the last time I read about S. lilith on MFK was when that old thread that is now referenced in the MFK Threads that will never be...

Anyway, long story short I've been pouring food into these guys for about a year now. They've been setup in this breeding tank since mid-January. The last couple of days they are moving sand and just generally acting randy. I REALLY hope its not two females!

Here's a pic of the couple.

Wow, that lilith has amazing green on it. How did you find so many of the rarest Satanoperca? I thought they only came in as contaminents of other spotted Satanoperca?

I've heard of them being found in shipments of jurupari, a guy down in Houston got a group by picking them out of a wholesaler's tank. A buddy of mine used to work in a fish store in the 90's and got altums that way- they'd order 12 scalares and in every shipment they'd get 1 or 2 altums.

I got this as one group through a guy in the GCCA, they were HLLE basket cases but healed up pretty good.

Amazing Josh, I wish you the best of luck!!! Would love to see more of these in the hobby and a few in my tank;) Mark me down on the waiting list, SERIOUSLY:drool:
