i have been feeding my dats HIKARI-MASSIVORE DELIGHT,

in each pellet they claim

''offers the caloric content of approximately two feeder goldfish without all the unwanted side effects and possible disease exposure associated with the real thing.''

here are a few vids of how eager they are to eat these pellets ,

the packet pictured cost me £24 but i will be looking to see if i can get them at a better price , i have noticed considerable weight gain and darker stripes since substituting bloodworm portion for pellets ,

what brands does everyone else reccomend???

i'll have to try that. i have been looking for the massivore pellets but all the hikari brand stuff that i see at the LFS's is too small of a pellet.

if you was in uk i would post a few to you to try ,, these are about 12mm diameter and about 4mm thick , i break into bits a few for the smaller dats , but they seem to really enjoy spinning them around in there mouths

my dat loves these. he ate 15 last night!

15''''''' , how big is your dat'??
my 5 inch dat manages about 4 but i try to keep him down to 2 as he has a bloodworm or krill snack at the other meal time ,

maybe 8-10"? he is a piggy; usually i only give him 6 or so but sometimes i like to see how many he'll eat. they really like nightcrawlers also.

i also live in the UK

I have been feeding this kind of pellet for over 10 months they are great

at £24 per pack you are getting ripped off i get mine imported from the US
and they come in 1 kg bags :D

Gonna have to see if mine will eat them. My two ngt's went straight to floating pellets. They are the tetra floating sticks. Super stinky things. They wont eat the hikari sinking pellets. I think they like the stench.
