It was a cook in china town who was cleaning up one night late and all the fish shops were closed. He knew he needed filter media. So he got the bright idea while he was washing pans..

nope you got it all wrong..

my mom was scrubbing the inside of my algae filled tank with a pot scrubber and accidentally dropped it... after the fish died from the soap i decided to quit keeping fish and left the tank where it was.. when i went to put said tank on CL to get some drug money i saw that a bunch of bb had accumulated on the pot scrubber and eureka.. i became rich.. if wealth = respect from the fish keeping community..

and hated by all the dish boys of the world for stealing all their scrubbies
