So recently i bought a 125 gallon with tank, canopy, a bunch of powerheads, Overflow box. and a 72inch coral life light system for 400.
Beside that, most of my fish tank setup is DIY.
i wanted to build a sump/bakki shower.

Sorry for the crappy pictures, it is from my phone.

sterlite 92liter tub - $13
3 storage drawer system - $13
Milk crates i got for free,

The container on the left side, is where the pump will go, i drilled holes about 5 inches up, so if my siphon break, the pump wont pump out all the water out of the sump. First milk crate has lava rock in it.

Second Crate. I need More SCRUBBIES!!

I drilled holes on the bottom of the storage drawers, so water can fall down

For the Substrate i used PeaGravel From walmart
peagravel - $8 dollars for two bags
lava rock - $4

For decoration, i went searching for Driftwood.i found a large 15 peice branch in the water, so i had to cut it, sanded any sharp points, and soaked it. i regret not taking pictures so here the final pics of the tank.

All the logs still flow, so i had to weight it down with the rocks, and flower pots.

So my Total cost was
Tank $400
Sump $26
Substrate$ $8
power plugs $12
Total: $446

Im using my dads 3hp pond pump for now, Until i can buy one.

Can you guys help me recomend me a Pump.
I need one that is quiet and looking for like 4-5 turn over rate.
also head height will be roughly 9 feet.
i was thinking about the mag drive 9.5

The quiet one 4000 is a good pump. It should give you 650-700 gph at that head height, I think. It's a 1017gph pump at 0 head.

That's a Awsome tank. I didn't think i would say this, but I like the flower pots hanging off the tree branch.

thanx for the comment, it is only temporary, its help weighting down the driftwood right now

Pretty cool, don't know if I could sleep with that unprotected media in the milk crates. Seems to me to be asking for trouble.

I am going on memory here which is not always good but I think with that pump you would only be getting about 250 - 300 gph at 9ft.
