we have all been here. That small aquarium that you bring to college or university. The one full of hardy fish that you can't kill, the one that gets beer dumped into it every weekend. Ahh yes it's the post secondary school aquarium. For me this is it, a 20 gallon tank with three angel fish an hob filter and a hardly working air pump. sure people love to see the angels being hand fed but this is no impressive piece of art and I'm shamed to have it but it is what it is and what it is, is 15 gallons over the limit. But here she is

Haha, 15 gals over the limit:) Looks like room underneath for a second tank!
I had a 5.5 gal tank in my dorm room, and upgraded to a 30 gal when I got my apartment.

I have a POS 10 gallon with 6 feeder guppies and 2 whitecloud minnows that my now EX just had to rescue from my quarantine feeder tank....lol I for whatever reason do not have the heart to chuck those dirty little suckers into my poly tank...so there it sits, ugly as sin in my living room lol.

yeah 5 gallon is the limit for residence but if you take into a count the volume of water the sand takes up, the inside dimensions of the tank, the level the water is filled, the rocks were adding and the density of the fish it becomes a 14 gallon tank. Now since they didn't specify imperial or US gallons we convert to imperial gallons making it a 10 gallon aquarium so really we're just pushing the limit ;) wait until you see my mathematical reasoning for why a 300 gallon is allowed ;)
