Any of you with determined Oscars may have this experience. I've documented in the past the antics of Brick...pulling heaters off the back, pulling filter pads from the intakes, moving stuff around, knocking over heavy decor, knocking the glass lids up, knocking the covers off the acl 110s, tossing his ball to the floor...on and on. Water to mop up.

Well now he has three new hobbies...ripping the plants up stem by stem (I'll find a long piece floating), expanding his pit beyond 50% of the floor space, and moving really large rocks.

He'll make a partition wall to block the acaras (who exit stage left when seeing that maw). Pushes the partition farther and farther out. It got so ridiculous he'd cleared over 60% of the floor for himself and Boss the bp. At this point I had to stop that and rearranged everything.

One of the tall plants (21") is now a stumpy bush with 2 trailers. He's fine with that. Now he's working on another one...I keep finding the floating stems. Brick manages to rip them loose without pulling up the bases. (??)

So I'm doing a water change yesterday and left the room for a minute to check the water temp. I hear this loud ass CRACK that sounds like something is busted. I race back and Brick has rammed a hand sized rock against the glass. His pit is lined with 3" to 7" inch rocks so of course he picks the biggest one to ram with. Scared the crap out of me! Tempered glass sides is looking like the best decision made.

I wonder how many Oscar owners drink. I may start.

What’s funny is this doesn’t deter me from wanting an Oscar…just want one more lol
