The price of keeping big catfish.

Recently my 21" sailfin pim ate my 12" clown knife. He has also eaten a 9" wild oscar and a 8" uro. I guess that comes with the territory of keeping large catfish.

If anyone has any experinces with big cats eating other fish please share.

I had a eight inch red tail eat a five inch oscar, also had him eat a six in goatfish (he was the store garbage can at the time) impressive eaters. I used to keep a sailfin pim when i worked at wal mart for about five months beast ate ANYTHING crayfish, worms, dog food, dead fish, live fish. Impressed me, glad it wasnt my dime feeding it.

Mine has eaten a bunch of cichlids, two spotted gar, one needle nose gar, and a jardini arowana Gotta love those tsn cats.

17" RTC ate 4 12-14" blue channel cats in a week and a 1/2.

Most recent (and painful) aspiration: 2 1/2ft dark morph gator gar killed and choked on a 12"+ leichardti aro.

Amazing stuff. I'll never forget your story of how the leichardti met with the gar though, haha!
