I think my good natured pikes are changing. I have two of my Lucis that are flaring and doing the dance and then most of my lil 3 to 4 " saxtalis are doing the same thing in another tank. The Saxes are just circling and puffing out their gills. Is this the time to move them or are they just going through puberty?

Its getting pretty close to moving time...lol. I take it they are not all the same species in there huh? Saxatilis pikes are a little bit more difficult to pair up and keep with other Saxatilis. Why I'm not sure, it just seems they are more aggressive.

If they were all the same species though I would say keep them together and add a few more pieces of PVC. At least that way you might possibly get a pair out of them. :)

How are the cincta doing?!

The Saxes only have a stray female pike that is some type of dwarf possibly a wallaci in the tank with them. What is the first sign to look for as far as determining sex? There are lots of places for tehm to hide in that tank so I might have a chance plus I am sending 2 of them to Russ next week.
The cinctas are doin great one of them is growing like crazy the other is growing but just not as fast. The Lucis are in the 185 with all the other pikes but I think I am going to move atleast one of them to a 75.
