I have bolivian rams. The female disappeared and I think it was my african butterfly cichlids that were the culprits.

Just 1 male bolivian, one day when I get an RO unit I will get german rams, but they are more finicky about their water than discus.

Taz your water must be pillow soft because I don't know a single person that has rams that can't have RO water. They die at the first hint of hardness. I had an LFS nearby try to get rid of their discus system by just not putting in that discus buffer and all the rams just died in maybe 1 day.

I got all excited and was gonna post a pic of my Hemi Ram...LOL But as soon as i clear out my fry out of my smaller tanks i'm gonna give Rams a shot !!!! I like that they are very colorful and stay small..
