The reason people need to research..

Wouldn’t be my first choice of fish to keep. Not a good mix of fish IMO. To be fare you don’t know how long the tank has been up and running like this. If (choice word, if) it’s more than a year then that’s exceptional with the mix. Don’t know how well they are all growing. Hope there’s some constructive criticism here. Not those other type of threads. Will see and watch.

I would actually feel better if I knew he didn't know better. I agree research is very important and couldn't watch the vid to the end. That Manny will be gone soon and so will the Dovii. Tbh we have people who have fish and could care less about them.

are those little serras? little rhoms?

that manny Used to have a tail...

Dang... ya not my choice for a mix either...

Honestly imo this setup would be far better without the Manny, the rhombs, the dovi, and the jack Dempsey. Don't know if anyone else noticed the jack in there. But honestly the convicts, all be it cruel, would be a good renewable source of live food for the red bellies in there. As seen in the vid already the larger male cons already are missing tails and will eventually be eaten by the red bellies, but they have bred and will continue to do so regardless of a dominant predator presence in the tank. Do I recommend doing this? No. Would this be a sustainable tank with just the red bellies and convicts? Maybe? Not entirely sure how well it would work out in the long run. If provided with a decent sized pond it is definitely possible but it wouldn't be a happy pond either.

I looked at his videos posted on YouTube and he’s tried multiple Cohabs that I would say didn’t work. That manueli looked pristine around January. It sucks to watch because so many people try so hard to get fish like this and would actually love the opportunity to grow them out. IMO it’s not really a cohab considering the condition of these fish. They're clearly picking each other off slowly. As far as constructive criticism goes;
Separate all the serras into individual tanks,
Remove cichlids if you want them to live and not be food for the reds,Start medicating all the fish that have been beat up.

Yes Rhombeus about 6 or more. Feel so bad for the Manny it's trying to stand ground even without it's tail and dorsal fin shredded.

I would put all my money on it being those rhoms causing the destruction. They’re small right now and all smaller serras are known to fin nip it’s actually there main diet in the wild. He also had a “cohab” with an 8” rhom (no small rhoms) and all these same fish about 2-3months ago. They actually all look somewhat healthier but the aggression in the tank was high. It’s only a matter of time before cohabs like this will cause casualties.

I agree definitely not a social or a shoaling specie.
