Here is one for you old timers like me. Anyone been around since the 80's as big cat keepers? Back in the 80's I was a member of the first RTC club. It was founded by David Sands of the UK. It was a hoot. We had a newsletter and the whole bit. W also had cups or mugs, which I still have, and membership cards. It was a small group and way before internet forums but we were the first of the growing breed of big cat enthusiasts. Just a little trip down memory lane. I have thrown most all that stuff our but the cup I think but I will try to take a shot of it and post it here. Fun to think back to the good old days and think forward to the good days to come. I even got an autograghed copy of David's book on larger catfish.

Thats pretty cool, its nice to think that this lifestyle will be around for another 30 or 40 years and im sure much l;onger. I call it a lifestyle because thats what it is. Fish keeping can be a hobby sure, but once you get into the lager fish or more advanced breeds it becomes your lifestyle. Your entire life revolves around these amazing creatures and i know from experience that once you get out of the life you go through major withdrawl and your itching to get back into it. I just feel greatful to be able to do everything i can with these fish and have a website like this where i can talk and communicate with others. I think this website has done alot of good for the trade and we all need to work together to further it.

Found the membership card and a picture of the Herman the first of my retailed catfish.
