Well, I was hoping my jar would turn out to be a somewhat mellow fish, but no such luck. He finally reached that deadly six to eight inch mark, and has already cause one fatality. Within a two or three day period he ripped the scales and eyes off my two bala sharks, killing one and nearly killing the other, which I sent to my cousins who have a fish tank. As of yet, he's left the bottom dwellers alone, and I'm hoping for the best, but judging by his behavior it might not turn out well.

Its always a gamble trying to socialize a jar....... most bust, but a select few do hit the jackpot. GL with yours hope it doesnt continue its ramape on your bottom dwellers.

Not sure if its a good thing, but the more horror stories I hear about this aro,
insanely I want one!:headbang2

Alone in a tank of course. Not even going to attempt keeping it with others.
Fishes can get expensive!!:nilly:

I felt the same way, the more stories I heard, the more I want one.
My luck its hard to find here, or else a lot of fishes would have died in my tanks.

GL with your jar, hopefully he left the bottom dwellers alone.
btw, what size was the bala ??
