I want to know everything about them. Have any of you guys had any personal experiences with them? What were their favorite foods? What were your water parameters? I noticed they have never been bred in aquaria and that interests me. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've got a small one now. He doesn't get along well with my other plecos so he's in his own tank. As far as breeding goes its gonna be extremely difficult to breed them in a tank considering they get quite large. Im sure they have been breed in ponds tho since I see so many at my lfs.

Also check out planetcatfish for any info you need on them.

They are easily aquired thus kinda cheap. They grow to about a foot. We had one where I work that would eat just flake food and did fine. He grew to about a foot in 2 years or so. He was in with small community fish in a 55 and didn't bother anything. Ate some algae but not the best algae eater imo./

looks kinda plain, I was hoping for a big rhino type horn.
