Dont have pics atm but my vid is in my sig.

I'm trying to figure out what i can use and what would be the best for this situation. I'm looking for clarity, crisp, even through the side view. I have attained it once back in england and can't remember the brand. So I'm looking for another one.

I have checked and reviewed tons of UV sterilizers but the one i was thinking of getting was a brand named "Gamma" and was told to stay away from that "Turbo Twist" variety.

Currently running my 220g off 2 emperor 400's and a Fluval Fx5. Was thinking about the gamma brand cuz I already got a water pump (Maxi-Jet 900, for water changes) Thank you.....

I dont know why you got advised to stay away from turbo twist. I love mine. WHats the gph on the pump?

That would be 230 USgph. Maxi-Jet 900

I have been using UVs for 5 years and love them!
For larger units (20W+) I use Danner brand and for smaller (18W & under) I use Turbo Twist.
I’ve never used Gamma but I’ve looked at them… I’ve never heard anything bad about them…
Turbo Twist units are built a little flimsy compared to the Danner lights but work just as well…

I don't have it in operation yet but I have a 40w Pentair and that sucker is built like a tank.

I have 8, 15, 25, and 40 watt gamma UVs. The first one I bought was a 15. I put it on a tank that had direct sunlight and green water. It cleared things up quite well, then I bought the smaller ones, and just received the 40 watt for my new tank.

The only problems with these is the plumbing. With the different pipes they give you, it is near impossible to make it sit level or flat. It runs just fine but doesn't look like it does in the picture; all pretty and plumb. They also include different size barb fittings so you can use flex tube which is plus.

The 40 watt is great because it has 2" slip fittings on it so I can plumb any lengths that I need.
