the hip bones are quite common of freshlyimported ray's, did you see the ray feeding before you brought it home? has it been feeding for you at home? if it is feeding ok you should be able to get some weight on it soon. have a read ofthe ray profiles in the sticky's.

live black worms.. red wigglers... frozen blood worms etc... ray is under weight and needs food thats why you see the hip bones... a 4 x tank volume of prazi pro will be a good thing as well... and off og the back flippers you will see 2 protruding claspers this means male... no claspers female...
