Snapped a few of my Umbie in his 60gal grow-out only a matter of days before he makes his debut in the 255 he's started nipping the silver dollar and the Nic....a confirmation of HIS sex would be nice....

here he is 18 months ago...

Looks like a nice male to me. Is he just nippy or getting aggressive? I am surprised he has lasted as long as he has in that size tank without causing any major destruction.

So far haen't caused any real problems he chases the Silver Dollar and the Nic is missing a little tail from a nip....but that could have just as easily been the big male Con who is trying to get down to business with his female...holding off as long as poss as my PBass just trys to eat anything I put in the big tank...the Uro in the 60 was in the 255 for half an hour when I heard an almighty splashshe was half way in the PBs mouth and both fish were in great distress as he had literally bitten more than he could chew....I eventually managed to rescue her....but don't want a repeat peformance with the Umbie...but at 10" I don't think the PB will have a go....
Hopefully next pics he'll be in along with the O that is in beside him atm
