I have two of these stands made by Perfecto for my 90 gallon tanks for almost 20 years. They have held up perfectly, still look like new.

That looks really nice, it’s a shame you can’t find good stands like these in store. I could imagine a double 75 stand made done like this along with matching bookstands on both sides.

Yes I use old motor oil for stain

Once it's soaked into the wood you wipe the top with mineral spirits or the like and it smells like wood again.

Interesting. I have some boards soaked in creosote that i really would like to reclaim. Any idea if the mineral oil would work on that too. Never thought to try it.
