East Texas
Outside of fish keeping I know everyone has some other hobby or interest.
One of mine is working in the garden with my wife.
What are you planting?
We do a little of it all. Roses to tomato's and every thing in between at least once
We would love to hear your garden story's.

I plant everything.I like being outdoors and have a garden, bushes and trees everywhere.I built a "flower box" for the wife last year that runs down the driveway and up the front lawn.It was about 40 6x6's.The "flower box" actually turned into more of a bush box but she plants flowers in the front of it.I needed some curb appeal other than the 19 bicycles, scooters, skateboards, cars etc that the kids have all over the place. The garden is usually my thing mostly so I can grow all kinds of hot peppers and stuff.

I have different types of yucca plants on my grounds and there is one that I hope to get this year that grows similar to a palm tree.I will also be trying bamboo and banana this year.

Hot peppers, yum! I will be planting some for sure. We just had a surprise little snow a few days ago. This is east Texas and we don't get snow but this year we have had snow three times. So waiting to make sure the 60's & 70's are here to stay.
We did get out and do the digging and have the furrows ready.

Sounds like you are creating a tropical paradise! At my wife's old house the bamboo grew like a weed. Be careful, "it's alive"! and will take over everything!
I love it all, I spent 15 years in Florida and seen allot of this kind-of beautiful landscaping.
Good luck and send some pics.....krichardson,...

Love to collect different types of orchids

Now that is one thing that I have not gotten into yet, but I sure would like to. There seems to be so many different kinds that I have never seen before every year. If I could lower my passion for fish, by lets say 20%, I could have the garden of edean"lol

You would love it here in the Philippines! There are orchid nurseries and orchid collectors everywhere! Some really cool ones too that I've never seen in the states.
