Not trying to flame here, but what's so bad about the clubs? No, really - I don't understand. This is a forum about fish...the whole thing's one big club. What's wrong with identifying yourself with a particular species? Would it be better, for example, if the thread topic said "Geo Fans" or "JD fans" instead? Semantics.


Like I said, I'm not trying to flame. Would just like to know what it is that is irritating about them.

(Kudos to the OP here for the "anti-club club," though...)

i understand both sides of this.on one hand im attractted to posts about my favorite fish and tend to gab more with others that have interest in that said fish as well so on that note the club thing is okay.
on the other hand i could really care less who is #1 or #71, makes no difference nor does it make that person (#1) more important or the king of the club. so i really dont understand all that stuff, i work at an elementary school and it puts me to mind of the young ones lining up.
