I set it up maybe a month ago, only 29 gallons. I collected the rocks by the highway leading to lucky peak dam, they are basalt. The sand is play sand.

I don't intend to add plants and never meant to but this was supposed to be a pauldarium but that never happened.

My stock list is pretty dismal now
-1 boesemani rainbow, maybe some more in the future, the one in the pics isn't showing the best colors in the pics.
-6 guppy wild males
1 red tailed rasbora
1-bamboo shrimp

-6 silver tip tetras in quaratine
-hopefully some keyhole cichlids in the future.

It's pretty much cost me nothing to make and all the wood, rocks i have collected and might add some more.

dont take this the wrong way but you get toxic gas built up in the sand and with it that thick it wont be easy to get out i would level you sand to under 2" and poke or run your finger through it when you cleaen it to let the gas out

Thanks, I'm well aware of the issue with anaerobic bacteria and sift the sand and poke it. I may leave it or I might redo it and show more of the rocks exposed but most of the volume is gravel and rock that isn't seen.
