I have this ridiculously tall tank I found on the classifieds and it is just awesome! It is somewhere between 30-40 gallons and is made of 1/2" glass! So after a few months of being up, I started to get this weird leak I have never had on any tank before. One slow drop...little by little started to fall from the back corner tip of the top trim. My friend told me this was called a " capillary leak" and would have to be resealed. So I did so and now another couple months have passed and now its BACK AGAIN! I cant tell you how disgusted I am with the sight of my background all wet! Weird thing is that I dont have a drop past the background. Any suggestions?

" capillary leak"
im not sure but i think thats a medical condition not a type of actual leak on a tank/object.
can you approximate the leak? since it sounds like its at the top have you tried lowing the water level to see if that helps.

Sounds like water is wicking underneath the trim. To resolve this, you might have to remove the trim and reseal completely.

He means that it's leaking due to capillary action, aka wicking.
