It is said that arapaima gigas can grow to 16 ft , but the weight of this fish would not exceed 600 lbs. The giant mekong catfish (pangasianodon gigas) are often caught 10 ft long and weght 660 lbs. The other dog eating mekong catfish (pangasianodon sanitwongsai) also can grow to 10 long and 660 lbs weight.
