Tricked my Pbass tonight! I've had him almost 2 weeks and he only eats the blood worms when I put them in once or twice a week.

So I tried the advice of a few people on here and soaked some baby pellets and a crushed large pellet in with the blood worms. Well he said he's smarter than that and ate around the crumbs of hikari gold, lol.

So, I was eating some soup today and decided to give my Oscar one of the peas from it. To my surprise my Pbass bolted on it and gulped it down before my O got to it! Wasn't aware he liked peas. So, I broke a large pellet into three pieces, cooked some peas, and shoved the pieces of hikari gold into the peas. He was all over them.
Stoked. :headbang2It's really great to see him eat something besides blood worms. Now I guess I can just keep this up and slowly over a week or two try to get him eating the pellets w/o the pea?

haha its pretty funny how smart fish can be sometimes! good luck man! hope everything works out and you can get him eating pellets!

This might not make any sense at all, but I think it has to do with whether the food floats or not... He doesn't seem to want to surface slam the food and wants it to sink in front of his face. So I figured I'd try some massivore sinking pellets. When I get some money. Those do look like peas though, lol.
