The underated Bowfin.....My new additions

We caught 4 of them. These are my two, the largest is in another tank because he could eat all my fish right now. There are also a few longnose and a few pickerel in this vid. Two of the pickerel are going to fishfobia.

i have to say that is a pretty odd mix, dwarf gouramies, goldfish, jewels, and natives

nice pickerel man, they'll probably outgrow that tank pretty quickly though, those things are MONSTERS.

whats the deal with the goldfish though? It kinda throws off the whole tank, honestly.... i'd get rid of it.

Cool! For now anyway. Most of those fish are going to outgrow that tank, and many other tanks out there. I hope you've got a ton of giant tanks or ponds that aren't connected to the natural watershed hanging around.

Yeah it is an odd mix. I am going to go pick up another 30 for the goldfish, gurami, and cichlids. We are building a 415 gallon and a 600+ gallon right now http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=249058

Nice fish but wow are you headed for trouble in the future. Bowfin arent good community fish even for your future 600 gallon they are more of a species only tank and just one is best. The bigger they get the worse their attitudes get and the bigger their teeth get. I already noticed the tiger barb nip the tail of one of the longnose which at that size are big wimps.
