So I’m about to purchase a new tank to upgrade from my 200. I only have one Motoro Ray but am planning on getting more. The new tank is 72 long 48 wide and 24tall. The only thing I’m concerned about is it has a center overflow right in the middle. Do you think this will bother the rays in the long run or am I fine. Also if I decide to run it bare bottom how much flow can I have at the bottom to ensure the rays are comfortable? I’ve always had sand.

Most center overflow in tanks that size are around 6-8" wide. (front to back) That only restricts a small bit from your 48" and it's not for the length of the tank just the center. I do not think this will restrict too much from their area.

I'm guessing it is acrylic? If so why not remove the current weir and seal it up and redo a weir in one of the corners?
