thinking of getting a walking bat fish. can anyone tell me some info about them? tank size, conditions, food etc... any info will help
thank u very much.
I have never kept one but here is the info I found,
They tend to be timid and not easy to keep,
they need a well kept tank with clean water, sc 1.020-1.025, ph 8.1-8.4, temp 72-78 F. not considered reef safe or to be kept with agressive feeders, they eat small inverts and are fond of mysis shrimps. They like sandy bottoms, depending on species they get from 6-12" long and range in price for smaller ones from $12-$40. Here is a pic I found taken by Laurie Black of a Ogcocephalus vespertilio
