ello all, my tank has been crystal clear since i set er' up 6 months ago....all of a sudden the water has begun turning white! i've tried replacing the filters, new bio weel, rock, no rock (its barebottom) feeding less nothings working...ive also done alot of water changes....100% water change just because i was frustrated.... it worked for 24 hours then it turnd white again...im running out of ideas people...any sugestions?

you "un-cycled" ur tank by removing and replacing all ur media/bio wheels/water... i dont kno if its just me, but i alwys noticed my tanks get cloudy with bare bottom. i always keep some kinda gravel in there, even if its just a certain area with gravel jus to give everything a lil sumthin to settle in.

Ethnics has a point you need something for the stuff floating in the water to settle in, otherwise it'll just keep floatin around

would a sponge work?
If the cause is detritus in the water a fine micro filter would work but if it's silicates in the water I would say no. You would need a phosphate remover for the silicates.

You can also buy certain products that can stick to the free floating debris and weigh it down to the bottom of the tank.
