I have a couple weird things going on in my two tanks and I figured you guys must have had some really weird stuff go down in your tanks that we'd all love hearing about! It can be natural...or supernatural!

Here are my two weird things: A banana plant growing one leaf stem insanely high in one week.

The second one is a pair of adult black-banded Leporinus'. One is normal, the other I call the silver surfer because every now and then he flash changes color to silver and five minutes later is back to black and yellow striped! Here are two pics. The first its the normal colors, the second is quick silver doing his thing:

Banana plant isnt that weird. thats what they do. they send out a long stem and when it reaches the top it will form a water lily looking pad and float there like a lily would. the second one is ur sub dominant leporinus being stressed out and probably chased by the other one to the point he loses his color. Cool idea for a thread though. i dont have anything to share :(
 
I'm glad you shared because I didn't know why, but I did assume it was a function of the plant and fish, and hence a NATURAL weird thing which is welcome in the thread. Don't you find it weird that a fish can completely morph its colors in 30 seconds? Or that a plant can grow an 18 inch tall appendage straight up in a week? That's the idea of the thread. Natural...or unnatural stuff that's weird, unusual, or just amazing.

Man, I was super creeped out by my first banana plant when it did that.
Hands down the fastest growing plant I've ever owned.
