It's a small pack but it's a start. I've been asking my Lfs to get me another mala for a few weeks and it turned out one of the days I asked last week a guy brought one in that he didn't want no more. He told Tracy the Lfs owner that it's been getting picked on. It's mouth is pretty beat up but should heal up nicely. My bigger wolf and it are getting along great so far. both looks good. it's most safe if both wolves are about the same size.

Thanks I would have loved to find another wolf the size of pain but at almost a foot that's hard to do.

Well thee or four would be nice but I only have a 90 so I'm limited. the new one might be knocking on death's door. Came in the room and it was on its side. It's in a qt bin now hoping it recovers. If it doesn't recover I'm not going to try again getting tired of wasting money on wolves and they die some how.

was it an injury inflicted by your bigger wolf?

Not sure yet. I think it might have hurt itself trying to jump. It's lost a lot of teeth and the wound on its nose has opened more

Jumping is quite a big problem for wolves from my experience. They can kill themselves if they bump against the covering too much. My red wolf use to hit his head hard on the plastic edging of my tank every single waterchange. He eventually died after continuous blows on the head over time.

I've seen LPS that use Styrofoam as a cover to prevent the major head damage.

^ I do that for my erythrinus, dumb dumb still manages to hit the corner of the top of the tank itself though. Styrofoam is great for it, but make sure its not flimsy or you'll be fishing out those little beads every water change

Sorry to hear that doomi, looks like a nice lil mala, hopefully he makes it

Well I just threw him in the garbage. He didn't make it. It was damage caused by jumping I found some blood marks and two teeth on my hood. I'm guessing it finally did itself in banging on the lid of the bin. Poor little guy I guess that might be another reason why the owner didn't want him

I like the styro like I had before on my old 75 but it blocks a lot of light and my plants started to die.

R.i.p
