OK, I have not yet witnessed the wrath of an aro towards a fish too big to eat. This parrot fish is charging and nipping at my aro, G (my aro) is getting tired of it. He's never taken on a bigger fish, he's coiling at it and getting agitated. So lets hear your stories about how bad is the wrath of an aro unleashed? Will he flip and attack it? Will he kill it? 18" vs 4" round
will they learn to get along?
Me thinks his fishiness is gonna go back to the petstore (The parrot) bummer
The pet stores here cannot get a 4" or larger clown knife, ideas?

what kind of aro was it? I had a jardini over a foot long that would grab my bps and thrash the fish in its mouth the way an hungry would over a piece of steak. Pretty violent.

He is a adosescent Silver 18 1/2" never had a bigger fish but he's never attacked anything really. I'm gonna set up the tripod!! It seems like he'd have lost patience by now, maybe he's a chicken%^^%#. I'm fed up with that nasty lil bugger just from cleaning! (the parrot, I could never get fed up with Gu Kaan , (my aro)).

Silvers are pretty timid...try Starving it then you'll see agression...:grinyes:
I have been trying to avoid my aro being violent or to eat live feeders. I fear this will do just that and increase aggression I don't want him to be highly aggressive. I think he's sizing it up, he's hunt mode now,

feeders dont nessesarily add agression

feeders (aside from goldfish, and assuming they are conditioned) are actually good for a growing arowana, all nutrients, protein, etc. are in there purest form, what i mean by that is that they are not lost or changed during freezing/defrosting, and oxidation over time, by sitting in a bag on a shelf.

you could actually get an arowana to grow faster and healthier by feeding live feeder fish.

on ocassion during feeding time

my arowana does bite my flowerhorn when he gets in the way of her food.

removes a few scales, but it doesnt seem to phase him at all, he jsut keeps coming.

on a seperate oscasion, my severum wanted the shrimp that was meant for my aro, i had to manuever the shrimp away from the severum otherwise the severum would have been caught between the shrimp and the 26in monster girl

Although silvers are nowhere near a jardini in the killing stakes, I am surprised. I've still seen silvers fight, chase, and bite other fish. I would thought an 18" silver would have thrashed the **** out of a stupid 4" blood parrot if it started on the aro. Maybe yours is particularly placid.

dont wait for the aro to kill the parrot

kill it yourself i hate parrots they are just a tropical goldfish
